A warm, comforting breakfast option that’s perfect for busy mornings! Sausage Egg and Cheese Breakfast Roll-Ups are a savory, protein-packed meal wrapped in golden crescent dough. They’re quick to make, easy to store, and fun to customize — ideal for meal prep or on-the-go breakfast solutions for the whole family.
Ingredients
1 can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls (8-count)
5 large eggs
8 cooked sausage links
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese (or 1 cup shredded)
¼ cup minced onions (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Reserved egg wash (from beaten eggs)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage links until browned and cooked through (about 10 minutes).
Crack eggs into a bowl, whisk well, and reserve a tablespoon for egg wash.
Scramble the remaining eggs in a skillet over low heat. Stir every 10–15 seconds until fluffy and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
On each triangle, layer ½ slice of cheese (or shredded cheese), 1 sausage link, and a spoonful of scrambled eggs.
Roll each triangle tightly, tucking in the edges.
Brush the tops with reserved egg wash.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Bake for 11–14 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
Cool slightly and serve hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
Reheat in the microwave (30–60 seconds), oven (10–12 minutes at 350°F), or air fryer (4–5 minutes at 400°F).
Try variations like turkey sausage, plant-based sausage, or different cheeses like pepper jack or mozzarella.
Add sautéed veggies for a nutritious twist.
