Description

A rich and indulgent fusion of bold Cajun spices and creamy Italian comfort. This Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta brings together tender seared steak, succulent shrimp, and silky Alfredo sauce over linguine. A perfect surf-and-turf dish that blends heat, flavor, and creamy indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cajun Seasoning (homemade or store-bought):

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp dried thyme

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Steak and Shrimp:

  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, cut into strips

  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • Cajun seasoning (to taste)

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1½ cups heavy cream

  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz linguine pasta

  • Water and salt for boiling

Garnishes (optional):

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

  • Extra Parmesan cheese

  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Season steak and shrimp with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat.

  • Sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and let rest.

  • Add butter to the skillet. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Set aside.

  • In a saucepan, melt butter for the Alfredo sauce over medium heat. Add cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  • Slowly whisk in Parmesan until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm.

  • Toss cooked linguine with Alfredo sauce until well coated.

  • Top with shrimp and steak. Garnish with parsley, extra cheese, or pepper flakes. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use gluten-free pasta if needed.

Swap shrimp with scallops or crab for variation.

For a lighter version, use half-and-half or evaporated milk in the sauce.

Rest the steak before slicing to keep juices locked in.

Don’t overcook shrimp—they’re done when pink and curled.
